No. 20 UCONN at DePAUL

When: Saturday, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Wintrust Arena, Chicago

Records: UConn 14-4 (5-2 Big East), DePaul 10-9 (1-8 Big East)

Radio: UConn Sports Network, 97.9 FM-ESPN Hartford, Sirius-137, XM-206, SXM App-965, WAVZ-New Haven (1300 AM), WGCH- Greenwich (1490 AM), WATR-Waterbury (1320 AM), WILI-Willimantic (WILI 1400 AM)

From a distance: UConn ranks second in the Big East in 3-point field goal shooting at 38.1 percent. DePaul ranks last in 3-point field goal distance at 40.4 percent. So, it would seem like the Huskies could tee off from distance on Saturday evening.

Andre Jackson (unorthodox shot an all) still leads the Huskies in 3-point shooting at 50 percent (14-for-28). Akok Akok (13-for-27) is at 48.1 percent and Tyrese Martin (19-for-43) at 44.2 percent.

R.J. Cole (33 percent) leads the team with 33 3-pointers made, with Tyler Polley (34.8) right behind with 32.

Give me Freeman-Liberty, or give me ...: Javon Freeman-Liberty, a 6-foot-4 senior guard who leads the Big East in scoring at 21.1 points per game, has missed DePaul’s last three games with a groin injury. The Blue Demons lost all three games. They are 10-6 when Freeman-Liberty is available, including a 96-92 win over then-No. 20 Seton Hall on Jan. 13 — the last time Freeman-Liberty played.

“You prepare for him to play,” UConn coach Dan Hurley said. “Obviously, he’s one of the best players in the league, so you have to be prepared for him. Obviously, it would be somewhat of a relief if he doesn’t play, because he’s such a good player.”

Freeman-Liberty is still considered day-to-day, per a DePaul spokesman. He is the cousin of Marcus Liberty, the former Illinois star who played four NBA seasons with the Nuggets and Pistons.

Alumni Day: Saturday is DePaul’s Alumni Day game, with men’s basketball alumni being recognized throughout the game. No word on whether former UConn commit Cleveland Melvin will be in the house.
