This festival on Oct. 8 and 9 at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds celebrates garlic of all kinds.

Aside from the garlic delicacies, guests can enjoy live music, handmade crafts and cooking demos, according to its website.

This year, the festival will have events like pig racing, wildlife shows and archery.

The Southington Apple Harvest Festival offers seasonal fall specialties like pumpkin spice fritters, apple fritters, apple empanadas, frozen apple cider slushies and apple crisp with spiked ice cream all weekend. Guests are asked to park at Southington High School and take the shuttle.

Lapsley Orchards Fall Harvest Festival

Guests can pick their own flowers, blueberries and apples, as well as enjoy fresh apple cider doughnuts and listen to Thankful Soul Revival at Lapsley Orchards on Oct. 9, according to its Facebook event page.

This brand-new spooky attraction invites guests to explore a mountain at 99 Powder Hill Road in Middlefield filled with creatures who "may never want you to leave," according to its website. 

The creatures will prowl the mountain through Oct. 30.

The 24th Annual Connecticut Renaissance Festival
Lebanon

The Connecticut Renaissance Faire kicked off its 23rd season Labor Day Weekend 2021 at the Lebanon County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, Conn. The recreation of a 16th-century harvest festival featured magic, comedy, jousting and more.

Evidence of Evil Haunted Attraction
Middlefield

Lyman Orchards will be transformed into an interactive horror show that features chainsaw-wielding ghouls, demented clowns and torture chambers. This year will have four new "nightmares" to scare guests, its website states.

The attraction runs through Nov. 6. 

Tickets for the attraction cost $25.

The Forsaken Lands
Goshen

The Forsaken Lands takes guests through the farmlands at Action Wildlife in Goshen that are filled with monsters looking to claim their next victim.

The attraction is open through Nov. 5.

Admission begins at $25, according to its website.

Phantom Fall Fest
Southington

The Phantom Fall Fest at Lake Compounce includes a haunted house based on a twisted version of "Alice in Wonderland" and more Halloween-themed experiences, like a walk through a monster-filled wilderness, a masquerade ball and a trial by witches, according to its website. 

The events run through Oct. 30.

Single-day prices for the events start at $39.99, according to the event's website.

Nightmare Acres
South Windsor

The Nightmare Acres take "victims" through an outdoor haunted attraction filled with jack-o'-lanterns, werewolves, club-wielding minotaurs and corpses.

The attraction is open through Nov. 5.

Tickets are on sale starting at $30 for general admission, according to its website.

Rails to the Darkside
East Windsor

The Connecticut Trolley Museum's "Rails to the Darkside" ride takes guests along Newberry Road and the trolley museum's Newberry Siding, near where headstones were found, according to its website. During the ride, passengers will be greeted by ghouls and ghosts.

The rides have dates through Oct. 29.

A trip costs $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers.
