Two Connecticut natives are working to show people that the history-rich buildings they flock to large northeastern cities to see can also be found off the beaten path in towns throughout Connecticut and New England.
Histoury gives seasonal tours highlighting historic architecture in towns through New York and New England. This spring, the organization is offering several tours through Connecticut exploring private homes and historic buildings in styles like colonial, Victorian and mid-century modern. Norwalk native Georgette Blau founded Histoury in 2019. She runs the organization with Allison Casazza, who serves as the tour production manager. Both have backgrounds in historic preservation they use to teach guests about the architecture, historical context and artists behind each structure.
