Mark Gostkiewicz wanted to bring his work home. So, Gostkiewicz, a math teacher in Old Saybrook, built a schoolhouse on his family’s farm.
It's right next to the home he built with his wife and partner, Naomi Niemann, in a hayfield on Marvin Road in Colchester. It's also the same land where his grandfather, Stephan Gostkiewicz, met his grandmother, Stella Wasnewski. But at the high school math teacher’s Tri Gable Lea Farm you’re more likely to find a plow than a protractor. And after a few years off because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he’s ready to get back to school and get his students ready to grow.
