The district champion Wilton 10/11-year-old Little League All-Star team remained unbeaten in post-season play by routing Orange, 8-2, in the opening game of the Section 1 state tournament Wednesday in Milford.

Orange took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but Wilton stormed back with eight unanswered runs after that.

Starting pitcher Dean DiNanno got the victory for Wilton, which will now play a winners' bracket semifinal game Saturday at 4 in Milford.

DiNanno's RBI single scored Wilton's first run in the top of the second inning, and Drew Phillips' two-run triple in the  third put Wilton ahead, 3-2, to stay.

Wilton added two runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to pull away for the victory.
