The Wilton Eagles captured the first Wilton USA Flag Football Super Bowl (first and second grade division) on Saturday, Nov. 11, defeating an outstanding Bears team to cap off a 10-1 season.

The Eagles jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead on a touchdown strike from Brayden Preisano to Kellen Zadourian.

Both teams moved the ball up and down the field efficiently in the first half with plenty of offensive entertainment for the fans on a cold blustery afternoon.

The Eagles’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with touchdown runs from Brayden Preisano, Andrew Sherman, Max Weigold, Connor Lane and Douglas Gubner. The offense was also sparked by key contributions from Chase Friedman and Michael Zeoli.

In a back-and-forth affair, the Eagles came up with several big defensive stops in the second half, led by Taylor Lishnoff and Will Farinas, to seal the victory.
