UConn football extends offer to recruit Jerome Bettis Jr., son of Pro Football Hall of Famer

UConn football has extended an offer to Jerome Bettis Jr., son of former NFL running back and Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis. 

Bettis Jr. goes to Westminster School in Atlanta and is part of the 2025 recruiting class. The wide receiver is listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds.

Bettis Jr. also has offers from Arkansas and Boston College.

The senior Bettis played at Notre Dame from 1990-92 before being selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 10th overall pick in the 1993 NFL Draft. The 1993 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year competed in six Pro Bowls and rushed for a total of 13,662 yards in his career.

Bettis was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1996 and helped the franchise win Super Bowl XL, Pittsburgh's first in over two decades. He retired in 2006 and was honored into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
