The Wilton High girls swim team finished third at the FCIAC championship meet Thursday at Greenwich High School. The Warriors had 258 points to finish behind Darien (353) and New Canaan (296.5). Wilton was 10 points ahead of fourth-place Staples (248). Maggie Kauffeld had the lone first-place finish for Wilton, winning the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:09.46. Emma Holmquist finished second in the 200 individual medley (2:08.52) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.74), while Katrina Trentos was third in the 500 freestyle (5:11.70). Sydni Robinson placed fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:57.53), and Brooke Hendee was fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.37). Wilton also got top-eight individual finishes from Allison Courtney (seventh) in the diving competition, Kauffeld (eighth) in the 100 butterfly, Robinson (seventh) in the 100 freestyle, Julia Lewis (eighth) in the 500 freestyle, and Lindsay Cooney (eighth) in the 100 breaststroke. The Warriors were sixth in the 400 freestyle relay and seventh in both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
