The Wilton High girls lacrosse team made its trip to Long Island worth the effort by defeating host Northport (N.Y.), 10-9, on Saturday. Shannon Quinlan scored the game-wining goal for the Warriors with just 14 seconds to play. It was the fifth straight victory for Wilton, which improved its record to 7-1. Wilton's only loss so far this season was a 16-5 setback to another Long Island, team Garden City, on April 14. Northport, which was playing its second game in two day after beating Connetquot (N.Y.) on Friday, dropped to 7-4 with the loss. Wilton is back in action on Tuesday with a home game against Newtown (6-1) at Lilly Field at 6 p.m.
