The Wilton High boys soccer team continued its strong start to the season by beating Trinity Catholic, 7-2, on Tuesday\u00a0afternoon in Stamford. The Warriors improved their record to 3-0 with the triumph. In Tuesday\u2019s match, Trinity\u00a0scored first to take a 1-0 lead. That advantage\u00a0held until the 32nd\u00a0minute, when David Schneidman\u2019s goal tied the game at 1-1. The second half was a completely\u00a0different story, as the Warriors scored early and often, tallying five unanswered goals to take a commanding 6-1 lead. Jack Brandt got things rolling for Wilton in the second half with a goal in the 44th\u00a0minute. Michael Lynch was next to score in the 47th\u00a0minute to put the Warriors up 3-1. The visitors tacked on goals from Daniel Jensen (56th\u00a0minute), Brian Perlee (64th minute) and Aaron\u00a0Breene (66th\u00a0minute) to increase\u00a0the lead to\u00a06-1. Trinity got one goal back to make it 6-2, but Wilton's Austin Slater closed the scoring in the 78th\u00a0minute for the 7-2 final. Will DeSantis started in net for the Warriors and recorded five saves. DeSantis was replaced late in the second half by Michael Legaz, who did not have any saves.
