Bridgeport Central sent the Wilton High boys basketball team to its third straight defeat Thursday evening, beating the Warriors, 66-53, in Bridgeport. Central, the reigning FCIAC and Class LL state champion, pulled ahead early, leading 17-10 after the first quarter and 38-24 at halftime. Matt Shifrin had a game-high 20 points for Wilton (7-4), hitting nine of 10 free throws. Richie Williams added 10 points, while Scott Shouvlin, Michael Bingaman and Matt Kronenberg finished with four points apiece. Dondre Daniels and Marcus Blackwell each scored 18 points for Central (7-5).
