The Wilton High baseball and softball teams both picked up victories against their Fairfield Warde opponents on Wednesday afternoon. In Fairfield, the Wilton baseball team ended a two-game losing streak\u00a0by\u00a0beating Warde, 9-3. The Warriors scored six runs in the top of the seventh to get the win. Drew Connolly hit a home run and had two RBIs for Wilton, which improved to 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the FCIAC. Collin Kahal added\u00a0two hits, including a double. Billy Black got the win for the Warriors, striking\u00a0out seven\u00a0batters. Reece Maniscalco had a hit and two RBIs for Warde (6-3, 2-3 FCIAC). Playing at home, the Wilton softball team defeated Warde by the same score, 9-3. The Warriors, who were coming off their first loss of the season to unbeaten St. Joseph on Monday, are now 6-1 overall\u00a0and 3-1 in the FCIAC. Sage Zunda pitched a complete game for the Warriors, striking out six batters. Emma Cropper led Wilton with a double, two\u00a0singles and two RBIs. Sophia Strazza and Zunda each had two\u00a0hits and scored\u00a0two\u00a0runs, while Taylor Floyd added a double and an RBI.
