The Wilton High boys and girls outdoor track and field squads\u00a0combined for two event victories and a pair of top-10 team finishes at the Class L state championship meets Monday at Middletown High School. The Wilton boys had 33 points to edge Hall by one point and place sixth overall out of 27 scoring teams. Spencer Brown led the Warriors with a first-place finish in the 800-meter run\u00a0with a time of 1:55.89.\u00a0Brown was also fourth\u00a0in the 1,600 in 4:25.25. Calvin Wardle added a third-place finish in the pole vault (12'0"), while Aaron Breene was fourth in the 800 (1:58.40) and Hunter Shipp fifth in the discus (137'8"). Wilton's remaining three points came from the 4x400 relay of Brown, Peter Hermann, Breene and Harry Copley, which finished sixth in a time of 3:30.45. Relays were the calling card for the Wilton girls team, which was eighth in the overall standings with 28 points. Elizabeth Healy, Sarah Healy, Annika Sheehan and Madison Peraino combined to win the 4x800-meter relay in a time of 9:33.35. The same four runners added a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 4:07.55. Sheehan contributed a\u00a0runner-up\u00a0finish in the 800-meter run (2:16.89); Mary Lynch placed sixth in the 3,200 (11:30.32); and Olivia Bernardini\u00a0was\u00a0eighth in the 1,600 (5:37.51).
