When the Wilton and South Windsor girls basketball teams meet Saturday evening, one outcome is certain: The winner will make history. Neither program has produced a state champion before, but that will change when the teams meet in the Class LL finals tonight at 6:15 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville. Those unable to make the trip can follow through live Tweets on www.WiltonBulletin.com or @WiltonBulletin. A live video stream and a Gametracker are also available by going to www.ciacsports.com. Second-seed Wilton (24-2) is making its first appearance in a state championship game. Prior to this season, the Warriors had never made it past the quarterfinal round. Top-seed South Windsor (27-1) lost in the Class LL finals to Lauralton Hall last year. The Bobcats previously lost in the Class L finals in 1977 and 1978. To view the complete Class LL bracket and see rosters and regular-season results, click here.
