A masterful pitching performance by Glenn O'Brien led the Wilton High baseball team to a 6-0 victory over Trinity Catholic on Wednesday at Cubeta Stadium in Stamford. O'Brien, who was making his first appearance since being hit in the head by\u00a0a pitch against St. Joseph on April 18, threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout. He struck out four batters and walked none, evening his record at 1-1. After scoring single runs in the third and sixth innings to go ahead, 2-0, Wilton created separation with four runs in the top of the seventh. O'Brien then kept Trinity scoreless in the bottom of the inning to finish off the shutout. The Warriors were aided by six Trinity errors that resulted in five unearned runs. Wilton also stole seven bases in eight attempts. Henry Hovland and Matt D'Elisa each went 3-for-4 for Wilton. Hovland scored two runs and had an RBI, while D'Elisa drove in two runs. Dillon Lifrieri and O'Brien added RBI singles for Wilton, which had 11 hits in the game. With the victory, the Warriors raised their record to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the FCIAC. Trinity fell to 2-9 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
