The Wilton High wrestling team finished eighth, out of 17 teams, at the New Milford Tournament on Saturday.
Joey Fraccaroli reached the championship match at 285 pounds, losing a 3-1 decision in overtime to top-seeded Andrew Del Valle of Newington. He had advanced to the finals with two pins.
At 182 pounds, Dan Holland placed fourth, losing a tough 3-2 decision to Denzel Phillips of New Milford in the third-place match. He was 2-2 on the day with two pins.
Four other Warriors finished just short of placing, falling in the consolation semifinals. Harry Winrow (138), Jeramy Jeffereis (145) and Andrew Sakamoto (152) were all 2-2 for the tourney, and Riley Kennedy (195) was 1-2. Winrow had two pins, and Sakamoto and Kennedy each had one pin.
Alec Favarolo (126) and Ken Pokora (160) were both 1-2 with a pin.
