Wilton wrestlers 13th at FCIACs

Four Wilton High wrestlers had top-six finishes at the FCIAC championships, which ended Saturday at New Canaan High School.

The Warriors were 13th in the team standings with 43 points.

Finn McGovern had Wilton's best individual finish, as he was the runner-up at 99 pounds. McGovern lost a 16-1 decision to Danbury's Victoria Goncalves in the finals. Goncalves became the first female wrestler to win an FCIAC title.

Nick Rende added a third-place finish for the Warriors at 106 pounds, while Quinn Reedy was fifth at 126 pounds and Steffen Nobles was sixth at 195 pounds.

Danbury won the team title with 293 points.
