For coach Yuri Kolomiets' boys team, five Wilton rowers will compete in the 4-plus — Oliver Peacock, Kevin Lenihan, Brad Spiewak, Matt Rauccio, and coxswain Jamie Fagan. This crew won a silver medal on Saturday in the boys second varsity 4-plus boat at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta in Shelton.
Dane Crameri and Mitchell Ukropina, both from Wilton, will compete in Boston in one of two Norwalk River boats in the boys double sculls (two rowers each with two oars). Kaare Andersen (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) and Christopher Martensson (Norwalk) will race in the other boat.
In the single sculls, Kris Petreski and Liam McDonough, both from Pound Ridge, will compete for Norwalk River. Petreski raced for the United State youth team in the World Youth Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in August.
Three alternates will also head to Boston with the team — Ryan Purdy and Sabrina Pastorello, both from Wilton, and Ben Hufnagel, who lives in Norwalk. Purdy, Hufnagel, Andersen and Martensson won a bronze medal in the boys first varsity quadruple sculls at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta.
