With all five of its scoring runners placing in the top-24 overall, the Wilton High girls cross country team romped to its third straight Class L state championship on Saturday at Wickham Park in East Hartford.

The Warriors had 68 points to easily beat Pomperaug and Mercy, which tied for second with 101 points.

Senior Sarah Healy led Wilton with a second-place overall finish in a time of 19:25. She was 12 seconds behind winner Cate Allen (19:13) of Fairfield Warde.

Mary Lynch also had a top-10 finish for Wilton as she placed seventh in 20:07.

Olivia Bernardini (14th, 20:45), Keiley Gaston (21st, 21:05) and Larkin Brown (24th, 21:10) rounded out the Wilton scoring.

Meanwhile, the Wilton High boys team finished 13th at its Class L meet on Saturday. The Warriors had 363 points, one more than 12th-place North Haven.

Junior Spencer Brown, the reigning Class L champion, was eighth overall in a time of 16:36 for Wilton.
