The Wilton High girls basketball team came into the 2014-15 season with high hopes to bring home some post-season hardware.
And since their season-opening loss to Fairfield Ludlowe, the Warriors seem to be moving in that direction.
Wilton ran its winning streak to five games with a 75-28 rout of host Brien McMahon in Norwalk on Tuesday night. The Warriors (5-1) have beaten their last five opponents by an average of 39 points
Tuesday's game was over early, as Wilton was ahead 23-4 by the end of the first quarter and carried a 43-9 lead into halftime.
Erin Cunningham led the way with 21 points for the Warriors, followed by Erica Meyer, who had 17 points.
Karen Brosko and Christina Holmgren each chipped in nine points, while Meyer added 12 rebounds and Brosko had 11 rebounds.
Haley English was the playmaker on the night with nine assists. Brosko also added five steals.
McMahon fell to 1-5 with the loss.
