Wilton fourth at FCIAC boys swim championship

The Wilton High boys swim team began the post-season with a fourth-place finish at the FCIAC championship meet Thursday night in Greenwich.

The Warriors had 244 points to finish behind Greenwich (512), Staples (327) and Darien (288) in the 12-team field.

Tommy Kealy led Wilton with a pair of second-place finishes. Kealy was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle (21.48) and the 100 butterfly (50.08).

Bobby McDowell also placed (top six) by finishing third in the 100 backstroke (53.37) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (53.46).

Robby Giller was fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:48.95), and Callum Breene finished sixth in the 100 backstroke (56.06).

Kealy and McDowell were also part of two top-three relays, as they teamed with Kyle Wilson and Derek Benison to finish second in the 200 medley relay (1:40.16) and joined Giller and Will Suchy to place third in the 400 freestyle relay (3:18.41).
