Wilton boys lax routs Trinity, 17-3

The Wilton High boys lacrosse team made quick work of Trinity Catholic on Tuesday evening, rolling to a 17-3 victory at Fujitani Field.

The Warriors had a 9-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and were ahead 15-1 at halftime.

Wilton's Charlie McGovern had three goals in the first period for a quick hat trick. Christan Hansson, Hayden Von Hoffman, Harrison Winrow, and James Arbisi all added two goals apiece, while Harrison Koch, Luke Rizzo, Peter Koch, Brian Calabrese, RJ Romeo, and Jared Gladstein added one goal apiece.

Michael Lynch assisted on four goals, and John Maudsley had two assists.

Drew Scanlan led Trinity with two goals.

The win evened Wilton's record at 5-5, with six games remaining in the regular season. The Warriors are back on the field at home Thursday night at 7:30 against defending Class L state champion Greenwich.
