Playing for the second straight night, the Wilton High boys basketball team stopped its three-game losing streak with a 65-62 road win over Danbury on Friday.
The Warriors, who were coming off a loss at Bridgeport Central on Thursday, raised their record to 8-4 overall.
Ahead 33-29 at halftime, Wilton outscored the Hatters, 21-8, in the third quarter to take a 54-37 lead going into the final eight minutes.
Danbury (9-4) mounted a comeback by outscoring the Warriors, 25-11, in the fourth quarter, but the visitors hung on for the victory.
Matt Shifrin led Wilton with 23 points, going 10-for-10 from the foul line.
Richie Williams added 12 points, Lucas Savoie had 10 points, and Scott Shouvlin finished with eight points.
