Wilton boys hockey team storms back for first win

Rallying from a three-goal deficit, the Wilton High boys hockey team got its first win of the season on Saturday night  by beating the Immaculate-New Fairfield combined squad, 4-3.

With Immaculate-New Fairfield ahead, 3-0, in the second period, Wilton began its comeback when Mitch Alexander scored on an assist from Joey Cullinan.

The Warriors (1-4-2) then reeled off three unanswered goals in the third period. Cullinan got Wilton within 3-2 when he scored on a penalty shot  after an Immaculate-New Fairfield player covered the puck.

That goal provided a momentum change, and the Warriors took advantage. Kyle Jonas followed with the tying goal, and Josh Worley then supplied the game-winner later in the final period.
