Wilton baseball team blasts Harding, 22-2

The Wilton High baseball team ran its win streak to four games and climbed over the .500 mark for the first time this season by beating Harding, 22-2, on Monday at Beardsley Park in Bridgeport.

The Warriors, who are now 7-6, scored 10 runs in the top of the second inning to open a 12-0 lead.

Brett Phillips had four hits, including a home run and a triple, and drove in four runs for Wilton.

Alex Jacobson and Scott Shouvlin also had four hits each, and Jason Rothstein added three hits.

Henry Hovland (1-0) was the winning pitcher for the Warriors.
