More dominant pitching led to another win for the Wilton High baseball team Monday afternoon.

Jackson Ward tossed a two-hitter as the Warriors defeated Stamford, 4-2, at the Wilton Varsity Field.

Wilton raised its record to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the FCIAC with the victory.

The Warriors went ahead 1-0 in the second inning, with the run scoring on a wild pitch. Dillon Lifrieri and Jason Rothstein added RBI singles in the bottom of the third to push Wilton's lead to 3-0.

Two Wilton errors contributed to two Stamford runs in the top of the fourth, but the Warriors got an insurance run on Lifrieri's RBI single to restore their two-run lead.

Ward kept Stamford from scoring the rest of the way, finishing with three strikeouts and one walk.
