Trinity trounces Wilton football team, 48-14

In a game that was over at halftime, the Trinity Catholic football team routed Wilton, 48-14, on Tuesday evening at Fujitani Field in Wilton.

The regular-season finale — which was originally scheduled for Thursday morning but moved due to the threat of inclement weather on Wednesday — was part of the FCIAC Thanksgiving rivalry series.

It was the seventh straight loss for Wilton, which ended the season with a 3-8 record after winning three of its first four games.

Quarterback Andrew Lombardi threw four touchdown passes for the Crusaders (7-4), who led 41-0 at halftime.

Patrick Ryan and TJ Savvaides had touchdown runs for Wilton in the second half.
