The state tournament brackets have been released by the CIAC for girls soccer, field hockey and volleyball — with the Wilton volleyball and girls soccer teams beginning play next Monday.
Field hockey
The Wilton High field hockey team is seeded sixth for the upcoming Class L state playoffs and opens with a home game next Wednesday (4) against 11th-seeded Fairfield Ludlowe.
The Warriors then would most likely face third-seeded Staples in the next round in a rematch of the FCIAC finals, meaning that two of the state’s top teams will have to face off in the quarterfinals.
Wilton’s side of the bracket also features second-seeded Enfield and seventh-seeded Norwalk, which handed Wilton its only in-state loss (in overtime) this season.
On the top half of the bracket, Glastonbury is the top seed, and Darien is seeded fourth.

Volleyball
The Wilton girls volleyball, back in the state tournament for the first time since 2007, opens the Class LL playoffs on Monday when the 24th-seeded Warriors travel to ninth-seeded Glastonbury for a 6 p.m. match. The winners plays at eighth-seeded Newtown on Thursday.
