Trumbull High bounced back from a two-run deficit to defeat Wilton, 8-2, in an FCIAC softball game on Thursday.

The Eagles (13-1 overall, 10-0 FCIAC) took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the second, and added a run in the third. They plated three more in the sixth.

The Warriors (5-9, 4-5 FCIAC) were blanked the rest of the way after scoring twice in the top of the first.

For Trumbull, Maggie Coffin had two hits from her leadoff spot, including a three-run triple. Julie Hiza had a two-run triple.

Emily Gell got the win with a five-hitter, striking out six.

For Wilton, Claire Wilson hit a two-run single in the first. Juliana Musili had a double.

Wilson was the losing pitcher with a complete-game effort. She allowed 10 hits.
