Seedings announced for state lacrosse tourneys
Seeding have been announced for the CIAC boys and girls lacrosse tournaments.
The Wilton High boys lacrosse team opens the Class M state tournament on Saturday at 12:30 with an outbracket game at Bunnell High School in Stratford.
The Warriors (7-9) are seeded ninth. Bunnell (10-7) is seeded 14th.
The winner advances to Wednesday’s first round at third-seeded Berlin (13-3).
The top four seeds in Class M are North Haven (14-3), New Canaan (14-3), Berlin and Joel Barlow (13-4).
Wilton and New Canaan are the only FCIAC teams in the Class M tourney.

The Wilton High girls lacrosse team is seeded ninth for next week’s Class L state tournament
Wilton (11-6) opens with a game at eighth-seeded Ridgefield (11-6) on Monday at 5. The winner will most likely travel to play at top-seeded Glastonbury (14-2) next Thursday.
The top four seeds in Class L are Glastonbury, Conard (12-3), Darien (15-3) and Shelton (12-4).
Other FCIAC teams in the Class L tourney — Staples (11-6), seeded sixth; Greenwich (10-6), seeded 10th; Fairfield Ludlowe (11-6), seeded seventh; Danbury (7-9), seeded 16th; and Norwalk (7-9), seeded 17th — are all in the bottom half of the bracket.
