Six Wilton High sports teams will be competing in state action on Tuesday, with the WHS baseball, softball and girls lacrosse team all beginning state tournament play.

The baseball team, fresh off its FCIAC championship, will host 29th-seeded Shelton in the first round of the Class LL playoffs at 4 at the Wilton Varsity Field. The Warriors (18-4) are seeded sixth and with a win would host another home game on Wednesday. Click here for the bracket.

The Wilton softball team will travel to play fourth-seeded Bristol Eastern (18-2) at 4. The Warriors (8-12) are seeded 29th in the Class LL field. Click here for the bracket.

The WHS girls lacrosse team will travel to Glastonbury for a 5 p.m. first-round game in the Class L tourney. The 11th-seeded Warriors (10-6) defeated the sixth-seeded Tomahawks (12-4) early in the season 19-11. Click here for the bracket.

The Wilton boys and girls track and field teams will compete in the Class L championship at Manchester High School, beginning at 3. Results will be posted here.

The WHS girls tennis team will travel to Westport to play top-seeded Staples in the Class L tournament. The eighth-seeded Warriors (14-5) defeated Amity, 4-3, in the first round on Saturday. Click here for the brackets.

The Wilton boys tennis team will continue the Class L tournament at Hall High School in West Hartford. Three singles players (Quentin Thouvenot, Jay Cassone and Tor Aronson) and one doubles team  (Henry Murphy and Owen McKessy) reached the round of 32 after Saturday’s opening two rounds.
