One down, one to go.
After knocking off previously unbeaten Fairfield Warde by a score of 1-0 on Monday in Fairfield, the Wilton High boys soccer team will now get two days off before heading back to Fairfield on Thursday to face Fairfield Ludlowe (3-0-1).
Ludlowe, the reigning FCIAC champion, has not allowed a goal during its first four games.
Thursday's contest, which begins at 6 p.m., will be broadcast live on the HAN.Network, and its affiliate websites — including WiltonBulletin.com, Fairfield-Sun.com and FCIAC.net.
Against Warde on Monday, the Warriors (3-1) got the game's only goal with under five minutes to play in the opening half. Jack Brandt sent a cross to fellow senior captain Jordan Lord, who was able to beat goalie Cormac O'Day.
Wilton goalies Mitchell Bascom and Grey Livingstone combined for the shutout. Bascom made two saves in the first half, and Livingstone followed with six saves in the second half.
O'Day finished with five saves for Warde, which dropped to 4-1.
