The Wilton boys and girls basketball teams are in action this week and both games will be broadcast live through the Wilton Bulletin's parent company, Hersam Acorn. But first, New Britain travels to Fairfield Ludlowe Monday night for the opening round of the Connecticut Class LL boys basketball tournament. You can catch the live video and audio play-by-play from the Hersam Acorn Network and HANRadio.com.
After providing live conference ice hockey coverage last week, Hersam Acorn debuts its live basketball coverage this week. The live, multi-camera video is paired with the play-by-play of HAN Radio, the voice of Hersam Acorn, which runs dozens of local news and sports websites in southwestern Connecticut — along with 14 weekly newspapers.
The live sporting events and archived video are available for a subscription fee, which varies based on how long you want access to Hersam Acorn’s content on the NFHS Network. Part of the subscription fee will benefit the ongoing operations of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC), its member schools and student athletes.
The Ludlowe Falcons (15-5) enter the state tournament ranked No. 8 and the New Britain Hurricanes (9-11) are ranked No. 25. You can subscribe to watch Monday's game, schedule to tip off at 7 p.m., here.
Also scheduled for live video and audio this week are Class L boys basketball and Class LL girls basketball quarterfinals — both from Wilton.
On Tuesday night at 7 p.m., the No. 10 Wilton Warriors (14-6) host the No. 23 East Haven Yellow Jackets (11-9) in the Class L boys basketball first round. That game will broadcast at this link.
On Wednesday night at 7 p.m., the No. 2 Wilton Warriors (21-1) host the No. 10 Stamford Black Knights (19-3) in the Class LL girls basketball quarterfinals. That game will broadcast at this link.
A subscription also gives you access to archived games, which includes HAN’s video coverage of the boys and girls FCIAC hockey tournament.
You can find those games on Hersam Acorn’s NFHS affiliate page.
The Hersam Acorn Network and HANRadio.com are part of Hersam Acorn, which covers the news, arts and sports of 18 towns in Connecticut and Westchester Couny, N.Y.
