The fortunes of the Wilton High gymnastics team this season have mirrored the ups and downs of the Warriors' beam rotation.

And so it continued on Monday, as Wilton scored a season-best score of 34.1 on beam, resulting in its best team score of the season, 133.3, at Greenwich.

“Beam was the biggest thing — staying on the beam in an away meet,” said coach Gary Chadwick.

Morgan Leddy was the standout with a season-best 9.1 on beam, and Alex Uriarte and Sam Farhi both scored 8.6s, also season bests.

The vault score (34.25) was down from last Thursday’s season high, but still above Wilton’s season average. Nicki Babkowski and Uriarte led the way with 8.6 scores; it was a season best for Uriarte.

On bars, Wilton was slightly below its season average with a 31.7. Riley Wadehra had a season-best 8.2 to lead the way on bars.

The team had a 33.25 on floor that was a little off its season average, which Chadwick said reflected tight judging rather than a subpar performance. Babkowski led the way with an 8.7.

Greenwich, the FCIAC favorite and number-two ranked team in the state, won the meet with a team score of 142.2. The Warriors (2-3) improved their season average to 131.125.

Wilton was still without Meredith Nash, a top performer on vault and floor, who is sidelined with a stress factor of her shin bone. Chadwick said it’s not known when Nash will be able to return to action.
