The Wilton High girls tennis team found the perfect cure to get over Monday’s 5-2 loss at Darien — scoring a huge 4-3 win over Greenwich at home on Tuesday.

“From what I understand, it is the first time in many years Wilton tennis has defeated Greenwich,” said Coach Mike Racanelli, whose team is now 5-2.

Wilton got a win at first singles from Maddi Stow, who lost only one game, and then got hard-fought (but straight-set) wins from all three doubles teams — Kaitlyn Zheng and Taylor Ingerman, Bridgett Cott and Ally Shay, and Leigh Culnane and Emma Stow.

In the disappointing loss to Darien, Wilton got wins at first singles from Stow, and at first doubles from Zheng and Ingerman, in matches where Wilton rallied from a set down to win in three sets.
