The Wilton High girls tennis team chalked up its second win in two days to open the season, as the Warriors defeated Fairfield Ludlowe 5-2 on Thursday at home.

Notable wins came from junior Brooke Connolly at number-two singles, 6-0, 6-1 over Daria Efimov, while senior Sammy Augenbraun defeated sophomore Kyra Adajian, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, at fourth singles.

Wilton scored big in the doubles, sweeping Ludlowe in all three matches. Seniors Maya Srivastava and Javiera Fiol routed their opponents, 6-2, 6-2, at first doubles, and Bridget Cott and Maddy Murphy came from behind to win at second doubles, 6-7, 6-4, 6-2. Senior Hannah Montgomery and sophomore Kaitlyn Zheng defeated their opponents, 6-2, 6-4, at third doubles.
