The Wilton High girls tennis team came up just short in its showdown with Greenwich on Thursday, dropping a 4-3 decision at home.

The Cardinals (13-1) got a key three-set win at third doubles as the team of Mary Cecio and Liza Johnson rallied for a 2-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory over Kaitlyn Zheng and Hannah Montgomery.

Wilton (11-3) got a straight-set win at fourth singles from Sammy Augenbraun, and three-set wins from Maddi Stow at first singles and the team of Maddy Murphy and Bridget Cott at second doubles.
