After losing to the two high-caliber, non-conference teams in a span of two days last week, the Wilton High girls lacrosse returned to FCIAC play on Tuesday night with a 10-5 win at Staples.

The Warriors improved to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in the conference.

Wilton travels to Darien today (5:30) to take on the undefeated Blue Wave, and travel to Ridgefield for another key game next Tuesday at 6.

Eva Greco led the scoring against Staples (4-5) with three goals and two assists, while Sophia Sudano had two goals and two assists and Taylor LaMantia two goals and one assist.

Paisley Eagan, Julia Skillin and Olivia Gladstein also scored, while Eagan, Skillin and Megan Lynch each had an assist.

Paige Brown and Bridgette Wall split time in goal, each making five saves.

Eagan and Megan Lane each had three caused turnovers, while Zoe Lash had two.

The Warriors were coming off a 13-9 loss to Greenwich Academy at home last Thursday, and 13-5 loss at Northport, N.Y., on Saturday. The loss to Greenwich Academy does not factor into Wilton's overall record.
