Girls hockey: Warriors suffer first FCIAC loss

The Wilton-Norwalk girls hockey team suffered its first conference loss on Wednesday evening, losing to Darien, 8-0, at SoNo Ice House in Norwalk, in a battle of FCIAC unbeatens.

Darien jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first period, and added two goals in the second and one in the third.

Wilton dropped to 4-1 in the FCIAC and 4-4 overall. The Blue Wave improved to 6-0 in FCIAC play and 8-1 overall.

Georgia Cassidy led Darien with three goals.

Brooke Jonsson made 29 saves in goal for Wilton.
