The Wilton High girls basketball team put the game away early, building a 43-16 halftime lead, and went on to a 73-35 win at Bridgeport Central on Thursday evening.

It was the eighth win in a row for the Warriors, who improved to 13-3 overall and 10-2 in FCIAC play. The Hilltoppers fell to 0-15.

Wilton was led by senior forwards Elizabeth Breslin (12 points) and Lauren Robertson (11 points, team-high eight rebounds).

Nancy Lynch hit for nine points, followed by Isabel Casiraghi (eight points), Alexa Hirn (seven points) and Sophia Strazza (six points).

Zoe Rappaport and Maddie Burke had four points each, Lily Umphred three points, Kaitlin Reif two points and Taylor Floyd one point.

Burke also pulled down seven rebounds, while Floyd had six boards.

Hirn and Lynch each had three assists, while Caroline Sweeny, Floyd, Breslin and Strazza had two assists apiece.

Strazza also had four steals, with two steals each by Sweeny, Rappaport, Lynch and Robertson.

Wilton shot nearly 51% from the floor on the night. Hirn and Lynch each had a 3-pointer.
