The Wilton High girls basketball team ended the regular season on Wednesday night with a 46-33 win at Brien McMahon, earning the second seed for the FCIAC tournament.

The Warriors finished the season 13-3 in the FCIAC and 16-4 overall, and won the FCIAC East Division title.

By securing one of the top two seeds, Wilton gets to host one of Saturday’s quarterfinal doubleheaders at Zeoli Fieldhouse.

The Warriors will play seventh-seeded Staples (11-5 FCIAC) in the second game at 2. The first quarterfinal game at Zeoli, at noon, features third-seeded Warde (13-3) against sixth-seeded Ridgefield (12-4).

The other quarterfinal games, at Norwalk High School, are top-seeded Trumbull  (15-1) against eighth-seeded Darien (9-7), and fourth-seeded Norwalk (13-3) against fifth-seeded Stamford (12-4).

The semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday at Fairfield Ludlowe.

Wilton, Norwalk and Fairfield Warde finished tied atop the East Division standings with 13-3 records. Wilton got the higher seed for the playoffs based on a quality wins tiebreaker.

Wilton 46, McMahon 33

Claire Gulbin led Wilton in Wednesday night’s win at McMahon with 11 points, while Elizabeth Breslin had nine points and five rebounds.

Zoe Rappaport hit for five points, Maddie Burke had four points and three rebounds, and Nancy Lynch also score four points. Alexa Hirn contributed three points.

Lauren Robertson added two points and game-high 10 rebounds, while Caroline Sweeny had two points and four rebounds. Also scoring two points each were Emily Tuin, Sophia Strazza and Lily Umphred.

Wilton got two assists each from Gulbin, Breslin, Rappaport, Burke and Robertson.

Breslin had four steals and Gulbin and Rappaport had three each, while Isabel Casiraghi had five rebounds.
