The Wilton High field hockey team scored its second shutout win in three days with a 5-0 victory on Thursday at Danbury High School.
The Warriors improved their record to 7-2 overall, and 7-1 in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference.
Wilton scored four times in the first half to take a 4-0 halftime lead.
Five different Warriors scored goals in the win — Maddie Duffy, Bridget Ward, Delaney Chase, Caroline Ferro and Jillian Mahon.
Finishing the game with one assist each were Duffy, Mahan and Gwen Hall.
The Warriors ended the game with a 17-2 advantage in shots on goal, with Danbury’s Renee Cunningham turning away 12 shots in goal. Amanda Hendry made two saves for Wilton to notch her sixth shutout of the season.
The Hatters dropped to 5-5 on the season overall, and 4-5 in the FCIAC, with the loss.
Wilton returns to action on Saturday morning when the Warriors host Norwalk at 9 at Fujitani Field. On Monday, they host New York power Mamaroneck at 11. The Tigers are currently 10-0 and ranked 11th in the country.
