Eagan's goal helps Wilton top Danbury, 1-0
The Wilton High girls soccer team now has its first two-game winning streak of the season.
Paisley Eagan scored the game's only goal as the Warriors edged host Danbury, 1-0, on Monday afternoon.
Wilton, which was coming off a 9-0 thumping of Trinity Catholic, improved its record to 3-5-0.
Eagan scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 11th minute on an assist from Rebecca Hersch.
Goalie Hana Previte and the Wilton defense did the rest, keeping Danbury scoreless for the full 80 minutes. Previte finished with six saves for the shutout.
Rachael DeBellis had five saves for Danbury, which dropped to 3-4-2 with the loss.
