The Wilton High boys tennis edged Darien on Thursday in Darien, 4-3, to stay undefeated on the season.

The Warriors (9-0) and New Canaan (10-0) are the only FCIAC teams that are still undefeated.

Wilton got straight-set wins at first singles from freshman Nick Condos and fifth singles from freshman Jay Cassone.

Darien got straight-set wins at second, third and fourth singles from Tim Derby, Michael Karr and Luke Uhlman.

The Warriors won both doubles matches. At number-one doubles, Jordan Lord and Henry Murphy remained undefeated as they handled Darien’s Harrison Walter and Cooper Murray in straight sets.

The second doubles match was pivotal, with the Wilton duo of Ryan Walsh and Conrad Emerson winning in three sets over Matt Mertens and Ben Brown.

The Blue Wave dropped to 7-2 with the loss.

Wilton was coming off a 7-0 sweep of Danbury last Wednesday at home. The Warriors won every match in straight sets, losing only 13 games.

With the win, the Warriors clinched a state tournament berth.
