The Wilton boys tennis team’s number-one singles player and number-one doubles team advanced to the Class L state semifinals with quarterfinal wins on Tuesday in West Hartford.

Freshman Nick Condos, seeded second, swept Daniel Weinreb of Daniel Hand, 7-5, 6-1, in the round of 16, and also won in straight sets in the quarterfinals over John Warner of New Canaan, 6-2, 6-2.

Condos plays third-seeded Bobby Neuner of Darien today at 3 in the semifinals at Yale University. The winner advances to Thursday’s finals.

In the doubles competition, the Wilton duo of senior Jordan Lord and freshman Henry Murphy also notched a pair of straight-set wins on Tuesday.

In the round of 16, they swept Colin Farrar and Harry Pellerin of RHAM, 6-1, 6-1, and in the semifinals defeated Dante Egidio and Alex Bueno of Hand, 6-1, 6-3.

Lord and Murphy, the top seed, play third-seeded Luke Crowley and David Havens of New Canaan in the semifinals today at Yale. The finals will be tomorrow.

The Wilton doubles team of seniors Alex Hattenbach and Timothy Sullivan lost in the round of 16 on Tuesday to Theo Crowley and Matt Brand of New Canaan, 6-2, 6-1.
