The Wilton boys soccer team picked up its 10th victory of the season and clinched an FCIAC playoff berth by beating Westhill, 4-1, in Stamford on Wednesday.
The Warriors are now 10-3-2 with one remaining regular-season game on Monday night at home against Norwalk.
Senior co-captain Jack Brandt got Wilton off to a quick start against Westhill with a goal just 2:55 into the contest, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.
But the Vikings (2-10-3) scored the tying goal, and the game went into halftime knotted at 1-1.
Five minutes into the second half, Dom Favilla put the Warriors ahead by scoring what proved to be the winning goal.
Wilton held the 2-1 advantage until Brandt netted his second goal with 12:16 remaining. Eric Pelletier capped the scoring with a goal with 6:04 left to complete the Warriors' 4-1 triumph.
Notes: The FCIAC playoffs are scheduled to begin with quarterfinal games on Thursday, Oct. 29. The top-four seeds will play their quarterfinal games at home.
