Boys basketball: WHS falls short at Trinity, 82-73
The Wilton boys basketball team dropped to 7-4 on the season with an 82-73 loss at Trinity Catholic on Friday.
Trinity (9-3) jumped out to an eight-point lead in the first quarter and never trailed, although the Warriors tied the game in the third quarter before the Crusaders pulled away to a double-digit lead.
The Warriors were led by Antonio Brancato with a season-high 28 points.
Scott Cunningham hit for 13 points and Nick Kronenberg had 12 points, followed by Kyle Maatallah (seven points), Ryan Schriber (seven points) Robbie Hermann (four points) and Kyle Hyzy (two points).
Schriber and Kronenberg each had two 3-pointers for Wilton, while Cunningham had one trey.
Stephon McGill led Trinity with 25 points.
