Wilton High girls basketball player Erica Meyer has been named one of the winners of the MSG Varsity FCIAC Player of the Week award for her performance during the week of Dec. 13-22. A 6'3" sophomore center, Meyer led the Warriors with 13 points and netted the game-winning basket in a 42-40 victory over rival Ridgefield on Dec. 20. Meyer had 13 rebounds, two blocks, a steal and an assist in the win. Meyer also hit double digits in scoring with 12 points in a 58-39 win over Ludlowe on Dec. 18, adding eight rebounds and three blocks to the mix. She collected nine points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in the Warriors\u2019 60-18 rout of Granby Memorial on Dec. 22. The Warriors have won five of their last six games and are 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the FCIAC. The other winner was Kurt Steidl, a 6'6" senior swingman on the Ridgefield High boys basketball team.
