Jessica Olin of Wilton qualified for the Eastern National gymnastics competition with\u00a0several top finishes at the USAG Level 9 Region 6 Championships, held April 8-9 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield, Mass. Olin, a sophomore at Wilton High School, earned herself a spot at Eastern Nationals with an all-around score of 35.825, placing second on the floor exercise, fifth on vault, and fifth on beam. Region 6 comprises the region from New York to Maine.\u00a0The top seven gymnasts in each age division at regionals qualified for Eastern Nationals, which will be held later this month in Lansing, Mich. Olin qualified for the Level 9 regionals at the Connecticut state championships on March 19 at Trinity College in Hartford, where she placed first on floor with a 9.575. Her all-around score of 35.2 won her a spot on the CT Team to compete at regionals. Olin trains at Arena Gymnastics in Stamford.
