The Ridgefield High football team romped to a 49-14 victory over arch-rival Wilton on Friday night at Tiger Hollow.

Ridgefield is now 3-1, while Wilton fell to 2-2.

The Tigers jumped out to a 14-0 lead and were ahead 28-7 at halftime.

Ridgefield stretched its lead to 49-7 after three quarters before the Warriors ended the scoring with a fourth-quarter touchdown.

Running back Michael Burns scored both Wilton touchdowns on runs of 42 and 17 yards.

Senior slotback Sam Gravitte ran for two touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Ryan Dunn. Junior running back Will Bonaparte added two touchdowns, including one on a 96-yard kickoff return.

Dunn connected with John Mullery on a 22-yard touchdown pass, and Aidan Mauro returned an interception for a score.
